Course Description
Global Financial Studies, an Academy of Finance required course, provides students with an understanding of how and why businesses choose to expand their operations into other countries. This course exposes students to the unique challenges facing firms doing business internationally, and to the potential opportunities available to those businesses. This course broadens students’ understanding of how businesses operate, grow, and thrive in our ever-changing world. Students apply what they have learned over the course to a culminating project, making a market entry strategy recommendation for an automobile company looking to expand to the global marketplace.
Students are encouraged to join FBLA, a student organization whose goal is for students to develop a “career success kit” to carry into their business and personal lives. |
